Summer Olympics 2008

Have you been following the Beijing Olympics? I have to admit that last night was the first time I watched it on TV since it opened 08-08-08. I was hoping to see our Maryland native US Swimmer Michael Phelp’s first event but it was already 1:00am when a message flashed on TV that it was going to take 47 minutes more. This morning, I am happy to know that he won the gold. I am rooting for all the US Olympians and seeing a fellow Marylander go for gold is such a thrill. It would be truly awesome if he will be able to come home more than the 6 golds in 2004

I heard that he is moving back to Baltimore(20-30 minutes away from us), it would be cool to be able to see him in person and chase him for an autograph.

Michael Phelps won his 8 gold with the help of his team mates and it awesome to see a guy who gives credit to people who helped him achieve it. Congratulations!

Michael Phelps is clearly a favorite! I just hope that our Pinoy contingents had fared better. Anyway, they tried their best.

My favorite is Liu Xiang so I was very disappointed when he didn’t run because of some injury
