Too Wiped Out to Blog?
By KK on Aug 5, 2008 in Blogging
Blogging is a bit too overwhelming when there are plenty of things to blog about. Summer went by so fast and we are on the last month already! Well that’s what happens when time is counted by chunks of weeks. Last I’ve counted, I survived a week of Vacation Bible Camp volunteering in the kitchen. It was wonderful surrounded by people who were willing to donate their time in helping out making the VBC a success. It’s one of the few rare times when I meet good conscientious people willing to give time without getting paid! In a capitalist environment, time is measured in dollars per hour. I say this because in this suburban area, great service is hard to come by even as a paying customer.
The campers had such a great time, I was hearing kids say that they wished it was more than a week.
I hope you all are enjoying the remaining days of Summer.

I used to teach VBS too. We usually go to the barrios and we were treated like “royalty” then because we live in the “bayan”.

Hi Ate Marie,
Umuulan rin dito, palaging may kasamang kulog at kidlat. Hugs to you too.
Hi Teacher Julie,
It’s great to know you taught in VBS. We aren’t treated like “royalty,” we have to scrub pots and pans.
Hi Leah,
Enjoy the remaining summer months!

True for me. And sometimes, because there’s a lot to blog about, I end up blogging less.
Scrubbing pots and pans for the “love of God”, you got my vote for that Tina!
