Camera Critters: Baby Lady Bugs
By KK on Jun 7, 2008 in camera critter, green momma
Amazing what one can find when walking Brady. Earlier in the day I saw a whole bunch of lady bug larvae among the bushes and I just had to show them to Little K when she got back from school. My husband asked me how I knew that they were lady-bugs-to-be. I didn’t learn it in biology class, it’s just from playing outside when I was a kid.
Did you know that someone is actually making a living selling lady bugs? They are used as natural pest control to eat aphids.
Find some more camera critters.

This is such a informative post, I didn’t know Ladybugs are sold. The pictures are also very nice… so many of them together.

I love ladybugs. But I remember reading that the babies eat about 65% more bugs than the adults! Gotta love ‘em!

excellent - one morning years ago the entire one side of the house was covered. I haven’t seen any here in forever and never a yellow since I was young. ssandy

I’ve never seen a family of lady bugs before. That’s a great find. I’m sure Little K enjoyed seeing them.

Hi Rachel,
In the Philippines, the lady bugs usually hang out near the Kamote patch. Yep, I saw your Nikki.
