Spring Activities in Progress

Hello Everyone,

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated my blog… ok, a few days. The warmer temperatures finally came, signaling that Spring cleaning is inevitable. No more excuses. I have to finally dry clean then archive the thick coats once again, throw out things which I thought were still useful only to pile up and other “fun” Spring cleaning related stuff that I don’t want to bore you with. Fact of the matter is I always have to remind myself that I am the housekeeper-in-charge and I don’t have a more senior female to remind me of the different chores that need to be done to run the household. Although I have been pretty much independent and have lived away from home as an adult before getting married, a household here in the US needs more stuff to be done due to the change of seasons. The heating/cooling system need to be serviced, the yard has to be done right or we get a love letter from the HOA, the gutters cleaned, the flower bed’s mulch need to be changed, I can go on and on. However it’s not all chore stuff that keeps me busy, I enjoy planting flowers. I wait until the temperatures rise to plant annuals like the geraniums and petunias so that I they don’t get damaged by frost. I wanted to post a sample of the flowers from the past but my Windows computer’s hard drive crashed then the external back-up crashed too. I am not making this up, these machines must be conspiring against me. I have off-site back-up, I just need sometime to go through everything again because only the master copy has been backed up and not the sorted ones. Just how many back-ups are enough? The question is how important is the data to you? Anyway, I’m just rambling on and wanted to give an update since I always point to this blog when people want to have more details.

    Lots of things to do.

Just did my planting yesterday, one more flower pot and I’m done. Still feeling backaches from it.

Nywaz, Happy Mother’s Day and have a great week end!
