The Clutter Control Rules
By KK on May 2, 2008 in Homemaker
Spring cleaning is a great opportunity to find things that need to be thrown out but it should be a year round task to prevent clutter to build up! Let me share with you some rules from the book Clutter Control. I personally don’t like to use up most of my time obsessively cleaning up however there has to be a certain limit to the amount of clutter to be tolerated around the house. I am posting this list because I want to get rid of the paper that used to clutter up a space on the counter.
When in doubt, throw it out.
 Use it or lose it.
Efficiency counts, so store things accordingly.
 Handle something once.
 Recycle it.
Pick a number and stick with it.
 Use a file cabinet.
 Do Something.
A place for everything, and everything in its place.
Items displayed in the house have to pass a test.
 Don’t do things “later.”
 Label things.
 Call in a professional.
