Hot, Sensual and Steamy Rendezvous

You know that something good is in store for you when you see red rose petals upon entering ;)

Oh my what a deliciously titillating title! Is this blog going wholesome to something else? :) Maybe… <*wink*><wink> This is the continuation post of Girls Gone Wild. Well this is what happens when you put a bunch of girls who haven’t seen each other for five years in one place. It’s the first time my sisters and I have gotten together with everyone out of school. My sister B treated us to North Haven Spa(highly recommended by one of her friends).

Entering the gate and stepping foot on the cobbled stone stairs decorated with fresh rose petals transported us to a place which seems to be so far away from the hustle and bustle of Metro Baguio. I loved everything about the place. The rustic elegance with terraces, tropical plants(silver eucalyptus, giant fern, bromeliads, etc) and different focal elements in the garden gave such a warm welcome. Weathered bricks of the facade is just the perfect touch to tie-in the the organic feel to the whole place. Lured by a blissful fragrance we found ourselves inside the cozy reception room and a friendly beautiful Igorota lady offered us assistance for us to enjoy a few hours of heavenly pampering. We only had time for massage(1 hour and 30 minutes) but that was enough to plan for a whole spa day next time. The best part of all is sharing this wonderful experience with my sisters.

The designer did such a wonderful job maximizing the space considering the very steep terrain.

A lovely lady with an awesome setting.

Waterfalls in the garden, never mind the forced smile.

img_6526.jpg
What a welcoming facade with live birds to boot. For me the birds are more than decorations, they are like the canary in the mine.

Beautiful Petal float.

The ladies waiting for coffee. My sister B requested us to have the massage in the same room so we had to wait for 20 minutes or so.

Ready to enter the sauna in pink robes.

Hot and steamy. Sensual: the awesome fragrance of eucalyptus.

Sorry no more pics inside the massage room. :) I had to savor the moment without thinking of lighting and angles. Suffice to say that it really felt soooooo good and we all felt so relaxed afterwards. Additional photos:

Lovely subject: my little sis.

Our very patient baby sitter: my brother-in-law-to-be and his charges. Thanks for your patience Bro.

Of course now she wants to be photographed just like her auntie.

Notes:

The mes sous are all certified by the Department of Health. They all went to training and had to pass a test. Based on how it felt, they know what they were doing.

Massage: $12.00 (if you are coming from outside the Philippines, you can afford to tip generously specially that they have such great service).

I just had to buy the fragrance oil($4), it’s called Bamboo(blissfully awesome!) This is coming from someone who is very sensitive to smell.

It’s best to call for an appointment. We only got lucky because we went on a Wednesday after the Holy week rush and no one was around during our session but I heard they have celebrities as their clientel who crowd the place.

I highly recommend North Haven to anyone who wants to be pampered by a top spa and no I am not being paid for this post.

    Hi Ghee,
It takes 45 minutes for a plane ride. The Victory deluxe bus takes 6 hours to travel. I would only recommend driving there if you are used to the terrain.

Place noted Tina, hope to see it one day. Grabe ano, when you compare the prices of these pampering to where we are. Costs a leg just for a short massage.

Tina, on the first picture, I honestly thought that it was your daughter lying on the bed. may pagkahawig ang daughter mo sa auntie niya.

i should try that kind of rendezvous for a once-in-a-while-treat.

    Hi Ate Belle,

This spa is in Baguio? I have not been there yet (oh well, it’s been a long time since my trip up there). But the place looks nice. I’ll be sure to check it out. Looks like a great place for sisterly bonding!

So you’re in the Philippines now on vacation?
