Outdoor Play

The theme for this month for PMN FamPics is: At Play. I normally post early enough to make the cut-off time but with the Holidays hang-over, it’s only now that I got around picking the pictures. There are too many pictures and I have to narrow it down to my favorites.

Nature provides the most wonderful toys that can entertain a child for hours. It also makes her/him think more about taking care of Mother Earth.

Give my girl a shovel, a pail and a wheel barrow and she’ll have fun for hours!

Put her in her rain boots and bring her to a puddle of water, she will be splish-splashing all day long.

The beach girl! She brings along a pail too!

What did I say about the shovel and the pail? This time she plays with her cute Auntie.

The beach family! Always bring the fishing pole when you get near the water, you never know you might catch something.

What did I tell you about the pail? This time she plays with her Auntie from Holland.

Girls in the trampoline. Once she’s on it, we will bounce the whole day. This was at a friends party.

Exactly!!! Kaya nga I always send my kids to play outside whenever the weather is nice. Walang kapalit ang nature.

Siyanga pala Tina, naalala mo pa ba yong offer mo sa akin last year? Pwede ba kitang matanong kong magkano ang rate mo :). Paki email mo nalang sa akin.

    Hi Ms. Beng,
It’s good to know that you agree with me Ms. Beng knowing that you have such bright kids :) .

Exactly like my son. When we were still in Germany, we hardly stayed indoors regardless of the weather. Dito sa Singapore, sadly there’s not much to do outdoors. Besides, ang tindi ng araw dito, waah!

    Hi Ruth,
Tindi mo rin kung regardless of the weather. I am so picky about getting out, spoiled by Baguio weather. I hear the humidity can be pretty oppressive.

Agree!! Better to enjoy the outdoors rather than vegetating in front of the tv :)

    Hi Cookie,
As long as weather permits and use sun screen :) .

    Hi Tina,
Lovely pictures, they really show how your daughter enjoyed the outdoors. As most of them chorused, I also agree that it’s better for kids to play outdoors as nature has its own way of entertaining them.My daughter too loves it out door that she’s so dynamic (i’d say we are the ones who get tired, not her).
    Love the pail lover :)

Hi Tina. I love how each photo mirrors the happiness and carefree feeling of a child. My son has a favorite wheel barrow, pail and shovel too. He loves playing in the sand whenever there’s a chance. I’m excited about summer. I’d love to go to the beach with my family.

I’ve never been on a trampoline before. It sure looks like fun.

    Hi Rach,
Thanks. It’s really a blissful stage and it’s up to us parents to make them as carefree. It’s great that Yohan has a favorite wheel borrow, pail and shovel. You know your weather right now is beach weather for us. I tried the trampoline, hmmm… I need to wear industrial strength bra to get on the trampoline ;) and loose 20 lbs or so without anyone watching. I hope try one in the future.

Lovely photos, Tina. How I wish we could go to the beach more often for fresh air and relaxation. How “lucky” you are for having the opportunities to do those things. Kami dito in Manila, sweltering in heat which triggers asthma of my son. Sigh.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful and fun photos :)

    Hi Teacher Julie,
It’s just a matter of choice. We opt to go 1.5 hrs to 3 hours away to enjoy the outdoors/the beach than spend every weekend at the malls. It’s quite a drive away from our suburban area. I hope you will able to move somewhere in the suburbs like Antipolo, Cavite or Laguna. There are opportunities there for IT for your hubby and schools for you to teach special Ed. I’m sorry to hear about your son’s Asthma. I did have Asthma when I was younger and I grew up in Baguio. It got triggered by cat hair.

    You’re welcome teacher Julie.
