Mission Accomplished: Mac Challenge
By KK on Dec 8, 2007 in Money Online, Thinker
It has been an amazing journey in the past 3 months and a half. I started this Mac challenge not really knowing if I was setting myself to fall flat on my face and make a fool of myself with everyone in the WWW looking on. A roller coaster ride is the nearest description I can find. There have been pretty interesting challenges along the way that made the ride very bumpy. And the fall! The fall!(Isn’t it obvious that I have been reading too many Dr. Seuss books lately.) With my PR dropping everything looked bleak towards the end but I still stubbornly, patiently and persistently crawled to get back into the game.
Not only did I gain enough budget for a MacPro,
I gained a whole lot more. It was fun learning how to use different tools and soaked up on the knowledge from different people whom I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t do this challenge. I came into the game not having any idea on SEO and not even knowing what a PR was much less what an Alexa rating is. I started with an Alexa rating of 8M+ and after 3.5 months I now have 224K(the lower the better). It was great to be able to have some way of measuring progress.
IZEA, thank you for the opportunities and I hope that you keep rocking. I have to thank YOU(everyone) who supported me at the little advertising campaigns and without you I wouldn’t have reached my goal. Last but not the least, I have to thank my hubby, D and my Lil K for their own way of supporting me during the days when things got tough.
I don’t really know how long I will keep doing Izea posts but one thing for sure only today, things are looking a lot better with more advertisers using RealRank. So even if you have been kicked to the curb by the Google gods like me, as long as you have traffic you’ll get decent blog topics to choose from.
Good luck to everyone who are trying to make an honest money online.

Yay! Wow congrats on getting the mac now. I think that’s a great Christmas present for yourself especially since it came from all your blogging efforts.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to get myself a laptop through blogging as well. xD It might be a slow process but at least I’m moving. Congratulations again!

When I started PPP I was google slapped and went from a 4 to a 2. How did you get your score back up? I was getting very very good posts the first two days, then when I went to a 2, I get very few, and none over $5. Thanks.
