Why did I Publish Ads on my Blog?

Hipncoolmomma Ate Girlie tagged me with this question. Why?

I’d say why not? When I started this blog I wanted to share things that I find “good” which I think would be helpful to others. I was hoping that Adsense will be able to pay for the hosting but after months and months of counting cents, I knew I had to do something else. I jumped into the Payperpost bandwagon last August 21 and since then it’s been quite an adventure. I set a goal to raise enough money for a Mac book because my 6+ year old Sony Vaio was showing signs that it needed replacement soon during the first weeks in Spring. The screen was getting hot and it looks like it’s going to melt. But because we had so much unexpected big ticketed bills during the past months, I knew that buying a computer would be at the back burner for a while. I like to make things happen and “cannot” has a work around if you try. I am not the person to settle for a second hand laptop either. It’s an all or nothing kinda deal with me, I’m that bloody stubborn when it comes to somethings. I have always worked for the things that I wanted even when I was a child so why wouldn’t I do it now? One of the requirements is that I should be able to do it from home until I figure out what I would to do with myself.

publisher1.pngHow do you eat a whole elephant? Slice it into bite size pieces(and separate the dark meat from the white, to my vegetarian friends -don’t take it literally!). So after I buy my Mac Book, I shall find another project to raise funds for, I’d like to help out my husband every which way I can. I like to set little achievable goals, reach them and then repeat. Rather than set BIG goals and loose my steam in the middle because the goal looks so far away, I’d look like a fool if I did.

Thanks to Izea (PayPerPost), I’ll soon have a beautiful laptop. I’m still debating in my head if it’s going to be a Mac or a Sony Vaio.

Hello KK! First off, I’d like to thank you for entertaining this meme, then for leaving me a message on my blog…that was nice of you to visit :)

Congratulations on achieving your goal! You’re right to choose the best laptop, after all it’s but right to reap what you saw..just this past Saturday I was also looking at the latest Sony Vai0, and well, I started dreaming *lol*

I like the elephant metaphor ;)

again, thanks for doing this…and I shall add both your blogs on my list, main page and blogroll ( I’ve visited here 3x before but via bloghopping only, kinda hard to keep without a list)
