My Birthday Celebration 2007

momnk.jpgI didn’t realize that I haven’t blogged about what we did for my birthday last month. I have been very consistent on how I want to celebrate it in the past 6 years or so. I simply want to go to the Maryland Renaissance Festival and feel like a child with other kindred spirits on reliving the years of King Henry the VIII’s rule. I loved World History when I was in my senior year in high school. I wasn’t really into history subjects before World His but our teacher made it sointeresting and he didn’t make us memorize dates :) . He was more interested in letting us analyze the effects of the events and how they influenced the world today. I still fondly remember my teacher(Mr. Calderon of St. Louis Girl’s High) and even if we don’t agree on some issues, he is still a great teacher!Anyways, I am not here to teach World History but you can truly appreciate the Renaissance Festival when you remember history because after all, it is what they are trying to recreate.

Here are some scenes from the day. I have to break it down into a series because it takes time to resize the photos.

“People asked me when I was a child: Bear Grylls, what would you want to be when you grow up? I answered: Why would I want to do that(grow up)?”

Hi Tina. Thank you for sharing these lovely photos taken during your birthday. How nice that you celebrate your birthday in such a fun way.

That must have been a cool slide. I like how Lil’ K was dressed as a lovely princess.

I like that shot with her father. It’s cute when Dads don’t mind carrying children’s stuff even though they come in pink. :)

Tina, belated happy birthday. I just read this and re-read your profile and realized that we have more than Maryland in common. I’ll explain over time, as I blog more interactively. :) In the meantime, please check out my new blog site because I tagged you for something. :)

    Hi Rach,
I really prefer this kind of celebration because it fun and it’s like a one big reunion because it’s the same people annually. Yes, the slide is really nice. Actually it’s my back pack ;) .
That’s why I didn’t take a picture of Lil K for Halloween because she wears them at every opportunity.

    Hi Megamom,
Salamat! I visited your site and I’m glad you went to wordpress :) .

    Hi Teacher Julie,
I was so sleepy last night when I made the post, I will make a better post with the other pictures.
