I love Green
By KK on Sep 29, 2007 in green momma, PMN, Featured, Traveler
Did you know that after tiring your eyes out blog hopping, you can refresh your them by looking at something green? Preferably something natural like green fields, grass or leaves. Green energizes the eyes and red(opposite of green in the color spectrum/contrast) saps the energy, thus too much red in a website is not recommended since your reader’s eyes gets tired from the red color.
I’m a proud green momma and when I found out that Pinoy Moms Network’s theme for this month is green, I didn’t which pictures to submit because I have tons of them.

Taken last Spring. Lil K strawberry picking. Eastern Shore, MD.

Different day but still picking strawberries.

Grass is green. Leaves have turned brown, orange and yellow. One of my favorite pictures of our Lil K and our Lil Dog. Lake Artemisia by Greenbelt, MD.

Green bandanna.

Freshly “installed” green, green grass of home.

Baguio City: John Hay’s Secret Garden. After WWII, Americans had a memorial service here. Now, it’s a romantic garden wedding setting.

Tree climbing momma. Those were yummy peaches! Vessey’s Orchards. Eastern Shore, MD.

Green Hill. Puka beach, an island near Boracay. We want to visit again.

Rough road. A road less traveled. Eastern Shore, MD. One of my family’s favorite roads.

The grass is brand new! We visited the newly built Chicago Bear’s stadium, Soldier Field with state of the art facilities. My brother-in-law was a member of the team who built it. The Windy City is beautiful! Need to have a post on that.

A Refuge by the castle grounds. That’s my hubby’s and my daughter’s heads. We were taking a much needed break when we went to Washington DC. We were just too happy to find green in this cozy garden!

Magnificent tree. This tree is huge! It lives right outside Smithsonian museum at Washington DC.

Soybean fields. This is where soy milk, soy sauce and tofu comes from. A beautiful view from my sister-in-law’s deck at South Carolina.

Laura Ashley’s garden at St. Michaels, Maryland. I still have to make a post on it.

Dino Eggs, as my husband used to call these fruits. They are called O-sage orange. Inedible and it’s used by country folk as a natural insect repellent inside closets. I used it as table decoration.
I invite you to check out my fellow mommies green photos.

Wow, you definitely have a lot of green photos there. I was thinking too of putting places where there were lots of green that we have been to but I have taken a different take on the theme.
Lovely to spend a day close to Mother nature. Teaches our children to appreciate what it has to offer and how to take care of it.

Hi Teacher Julie,
. Yes it’s really important to keep the children grounded(close to the soil), they are the future care takers of the Earth.
I’m green minded kasi
Hi Analyse,
.
Thanks
Hi Ilocano Blogger,
It’s very good you have a good view of greenery since you were young.
Naimbag ta ada iti mayat nga matantan-awam nga berde idyay rwar iti tawam nanipod pay iti kina ubing mo.
Mabuti at mayroon kang magandang tanawin na berde sa labas ng iyong binata mula pa sa iyong pagkabata.
Next will be Spanish translation.

Hi Tina. Excellent photos! You did a great job with the theme Green. You’re right, the color green is very relaxing to the eyes.
I think it’s nice that you spend quality time outdoors with your family. Appreciating nature at its best is very rewarding.

Hi Mary,
Thanks. It’s free too ;).
Hi K,
Thanks. No they are not edible. And they are like guapples but the skin is very kulobot. Yes, I think you’re right that they would look better in a nest inspired bowl. I only had the crystal bowl at that time.
Hi Auee,

Hi Parisukat,
. Thanks for thinking that my blog is worth coming back to.
I’m curious on how your Auntie Ann looks like.
Thank you for the compliments on the photos
Hi Auntie Mila,
Thank you. I am just a newbie, I just try to find a good angle. Lil K looks mestiza during winter but during summer she’s Pinay with her tan. I’d like to see a photo of Amber too.
