Be Inspired: Boracay Desktop
By KK on Sep 21, 2007 in Blogging, Thinker
I was tagged by the lovely and talented web designer Ms. Beng for “My Desktop Free View.” It’s such a fun post for me. Thanks for the tag dear.

Most people spend a considerable amount of time in customizing or in finding a desktop wallpaper that suits their taste. Sadly, our computers often remains… personal. Why don’t we brag to the world our good-find wallpapers and let them have a peek to our personality via our desktops?
I am stuck with this desktop even with my 7 year old Sony VAIO laptop that conked up on me. Now that I’m using the desktop PC, I have transfered the same wallpaper. This photo is such an inspiration for me. It was taken by Hans who is enjoying a lifestyle that I want to strive for. One of these days, I have to write my family’s experience of the beautiful Island of Boracay. This certain photograph reminds me of our 2 blissful days sailing with the Red Pirates on this very same sail boat last year. We have taken pictures of Boracay but Han’s photographs captures the very essence of Island living in paradise. The thumbnail on the header with the sailboat is the same one and the person on it is me.
Even if the instructions only say 5, I’m extending the list: I’m tagging
Analyse, FrancescainFrance, Teacher Julie, Greymom, Sexymom, Raqgold, Heart of Rachel, Geri, Girlie , Belle -(Yikes! I still have to help you with the feed stuff, I’ve been swamped lately), Mixed Nuts, Lovelyn, Gail, Auee, Mane Event(I still owe that taggie), Sassy Lawyer, Glory, Noemi,Leah (I removed all the “Ate’s” so I won’t discriminate based on age
)
My Desktop Free View Instruction:
A. Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.
You can do a screen capture by: [1] Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key). [2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V). [3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.
B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of icons. Things like that.
C. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.
D. Add your name to this list of Free Viewers with a link pointing directly to your Desktop Free View post to promote it to succeeding participants.

Never been to Boracay but the photo looks very similar to the many beaches in my native Bicol.
The beach is the most relaxing place to do anything, barefoot, feeling the sand between your toes, listening to the waves softly rustle into shore, the smells, quietness.

Hi Ate Marie, Thanks but the photo is by Hans. Isang sakay ka lang sa eroplano!
Hi K, I’m sure your native Bicol is as beautiful. Would you believe it’s my first time being in a different island aside from Luzon? I didn’t travel in the south when I was working. If I went to Boracay, I might have gotten stuck and not left for the US.
Hi Ms. Beng,
!
Next time you go on vacation to the Philippines
Just wait for PPP, they are swamped right now. You have nothing to worry about getting approved.

Hi Jeprocks, Thanks for my dropping by.
Hi Jen, < —– this lady lives in Paradise!
What a small world!!! I’m sad to here that she was destroyed in the strong typhoon. It must have been really bad because I saw pictures of the coconut trees with their roots exposed. Please extend my regards to Capt. Joey, Raymond and Jo. They were topnotch! Please check my email.
Lizeth, iba talaga ang Boracay! Thanks for dropping by.
Hi Jeprocks,
I dropped by your multiply, I have to register first. Great job! Do you do calligraphy for real?!
