Play Like a Child at Hershey’s Park

Investing in a good digital camera(like a Canon) that can take fast action shots can really pay off. I have a difficult time taking pictures of my daughter. Genuine smiles are just hard to come by because I can’t tell her to pose and smile even if she doesn’t feel like it! It doesn’t work that way. I look at the photos that I asked her to smile and they look forced as if she was pained to do so. The facial expression is unnatural. I can take beautiful smiles with the fast action setting. The challenging part is having the right lens. I would have loved to get a close-up shot but I left the long lens at home. Walking around in an amusement park with a full blown camera gear can be quite a pain. I find it difficult to point and shoot without the tripod as I still can’t seem to hold still with a long lens yet, even with an image stabilizer.

This beautiful carousel was built in 1919 and restored. The craftmanship is just superb! My husband took this shot. I was riding the carousel too but I was at the back!

Another reason why fast action setting of the digital camera is a good idea. This ride is just for children, darn!

Captures priceless smiles.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle this but I did it anyway.

After a test flight, I was ready to fly somewhere else than go around and round.

Even daddy feels like a kid again!

Hi Everyone, Thanks for dropping by and I really I appreciate you all taking time to comment. Have a great weekend you all!
Hi Teacher Julie, Thanks and it’s a pleasure sharing with you.
Hi Auee, It’s really a challenge diba? Specially now that my daughter is getting more aware that she has the prerogative to say “I don’t want to.”
Hi Mary,
You should go one of these days, it’s really fun! Specially your boys are old enough for the more exciting rides and go to the boardwalk with water slides!
Hi Geri,
. Your son will be moving faster and you would want the “action shots.” Pose photos are getting boring to me.
Don’t be jealous of my cam, buy one for Christmas
Hi Ms. Beng,
I did your taggie already.
Sumakay naman ako, check out the Starship and the other rides. I took the photos from the angle of being a rider.

Honestly, if not for my pamangkins who initiated to take on the Dumbo The Flying Elephant Ride at the Magic Kingdom, siguro I’d just sit in the bench watching people while eating cotton candy - kaso it’s addicting so I ended up taking few consecutive rides at Space Mountain.

there are great photos of lil K’s precious smile. hehehe, am not all familiar with my camera yet. i didn’t know that you have to put the camera on fast action setting when the subject being photographed is moving. thanks for the tips. i am so much to learn still.
i don’t like to get on those rides as i get nauseated. the kids love it though.
