Kikay Bag

kikaybag1a.jpg

I couldn’t resist buying this cute little make-up organizer/travel bag and to justify me buying it I have to use it. Because of it, I am now better in using my facial sunscreen moisturizer since I found out it’s going to expire on October this year(sayang eh). It would be such a waste if I didn’t. According to a test I took I was 34% vain but I’m sure I’ll be 90% for not being wasteful. I have to remind myself to use the other stuff in it so that they will be put into good use.

This is what’s inside my kikay bag.

It’s amazing how a little cute bag can change my thinking.  I am now more serious about taking care of my skin.  I do enjoy being under the sun and it’s really important to have sun protection.  The sun can cause damage, pre-mature aging and even skin cancer.  I used to believe that if you tan very well,  you are safe from the big C of the skin but researchers are saying that everyone is vulnerable.

Hello Ladies, care to show and tell what is in your kikay bag(make-up bag)? Consider yourself tagged, so go right ahead and let us see inside your magical girly kit.

My kikay bag has Mary Kay foundation, Mary Kay press powder, Prestige lipstick (kuripot eh), Ever Bilena Eyebrow Powder (given to me by my mom when I was in the Philippines, it really works well!), Mary Kay eyeshadow and Mary Kay mousse/blush on (obvious ba that I have a friend who sells Mary Kay? haha But their foundation and pressed powder is the best I have tried so far. For my everyday face I only use the first four make up. I know I should get that sunscreen soon!

    ____________
    Hi Geri,
With so many Mary Kay products in your Kikay bag, you will help your friend get a car ;) . Yep, go get that sunscreen.

Wow super kikay. That bag is similar to what my hubby’s auntie left with us recently but I don’t think I can fill it :-)

My handbag will always have baby powder, mints, brush and lipstick. Recently I added a body spray hehe Ayan na extent ng kakikayan ko.

    ___________
    Hi Auee,
You’re not so kikay nga. Dagdagan mo ng moisturizer ;) .

Hi Tina! Very sleek kikay bag, it’s not kikay-looking at all hehe.
My kikat kit has: a 2-way pressed powder, blush-on, mascara, lip balm, lip gloss, lipstick, lip liner, eyeshadow which i rarely use (mascara is enough), eye brush, sunscreen moisturizer (yeah, can’t live without it na!), cologne, floss, toothpaste and toothbrush, sewing kit (those given in plane kits), Advil and Diatabs LOL. You could say it’s the kikay kit of a very vain girl scout hehe.

    __________
    Hi Chateau,
What a beefed up Kikay kit you have, kulang nalang full blown first aid kit. :)

Oops, I forgot to add that I like you kikay travelling bag. Very classy and I’m sure it has enough room for your stuff.

    Hi Rach,
Thanks, it should be enough…if I end up with stuff that doesn’t fit it means I’m spending too much on kikay stuff. ;)

I just got a travel toiletry bag from Ikea because it’s more compact than my huge make-up bag, plus inside the zipper is a small folded hanger. Samsonite has a larger, sturdier original. It’s small enough to lug around, when I go out or travel back and forth from Baguio to Manila.

    In it I have:
    1. Paddle Brush (to straighten my wavy hair as much as it can)
    2. Make-Up Brushes (MAC, Body Shop — a firm believer in ‘any make up brand will do, it’s all in the brush’)
    3. Revlon Lipstick Palette (slim, 5 colors, with a great mirror that i can use for face touch-ups)
    4. Shu Uemura Dual Powder and Base
    5. Ever Bilena Eye Pencil (cheap and great to use)
    6. Lighter / Matches (to soften and control the Eye Pencil)
    7. Olay Total Effects (because I am trying it out, the ‘Look Younger in Just 7 Days’ thingy, if it works it stays)
    8. Soft Tissue and Cotton Buds
    9. Toothbrush and Toothpaste
    10. Favorite Cologne of the Moment

ps. when you tagged me for the music i listen to, i had nothing to write because i like to work and drive in silence — hahaha! so please accept this long list as a ‘peace offering.’

    :)

    ______________
    Hi Lisa,
Thanks for your peace offering, hehehe, I just thought you were too busy to listen to music ;)
Yes, the brushes(I have this set of goat hair brushes) help alot and of course the know-how(to use them). For me I’m trying out the cheaper versions of mineral make-ups(that’s another post). You’re the second person who mentioned the Ever Bilena eye pencil. I’ve heard good reviews of the Olay Total Effects, I hope it works out for you.
