Tagged: What were you thinking?

I got tagged by Mary aka Greymom:
What Were You Thinking when you first met your current main squeeze? (husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, significant other, sex partner, WHATEVER!)
This may sound weird, I met my husband twice. On email and IRL(in real life). The first time was on email, his very first emails was about his 2 vehicles(a work van and a Rodeo), his computer not working and he was feeling under the weather. I’m like gee, this guy have some issues- everything is not working properly. Then when we met, I opened the door. He said “hi, may I use your bathroom?” He looked very shy. I was thinking: Well, I can excuse him for the lack of trying to make a first good impression because he drove for 3 hours to have dinner with me. What impressed me is his perseverance of driving from MD to NJ for our dates. The NJ turnpike is far from a leisurely drive. After we got married, I found out that he received two speeding tickets on the way to NJ.

So that’s your story. Your husband really knows how to fish (with or with out fishing rod)
. “Wise men” can see the distinction between a good catch and not.
Thank’s for the tag. I’ll answer it soon. “Teething” baby can’t make me think.

Hi Lovelyn,
Yikes! Teething time… It’s good to realize that I was a good catch, harharhar.

Yeah Tina,
Good catch. Our husbands should know they’re saving a lot…they don’t pay the painter, cleaner, driver, gardener, cook etc… hehehe…aside from being their huggable pilows hahaha.

my gosh, he drove 3 hours just to have dinner with you? that was a lot of driving! oh, how sweet of him! good thing you kept him. did you have to drive to MD to see him, too?
____________
Hi Ate Belle,
The company I worked for provided transportation for me, door to door - so I didn’t think of learning how to drive in NJ(even if I had a crash course in the Phils prior to coming to US). I took the Amtrak train to go from NJ to MD and back. The station was walking distance from my work.

Hahaha, so we both fell for the long-distance-driving-just to-see-you trap ha! Don’t we just feel so special that they’d do that for us? *kilig*
