Our Neighborhood in Bloom

Lilac Bush

Lilac bush by Little K’s pre-school.

The flowering bushes and trees in our neighborhood bloomed late this year because of the cold start of Spring. One of the perks in our neighborhood is enjoying the Cherry trees, Dogwood, Viburnum and other bushes in bloom when taking a walk this time of the year. I can only share their beauty, I wish I can also share their scent. Flowers have a very calming effect and they certainly make our day brighter when we see them. I hope this brings a smile to your face as it did mine.

Dogwood- They normally come in white but these are colored coral.

Viburnum- They look like tiny bridal bouquets and are very fragrant.

Tina, you are quite a photographer! Nice sight to behold! Unfortunately, we don’t have those kind of flowers here. Our spring here is kind of bare but it gets better as we approach summer.

Thanks for sharing these beautiful flowers!

Hi Ate Belle, Thanks for the photographer comment. I’m a point-n-click person. You have the desert blooms :). You’re welcome.

Hi Leah, Thanks. Oh that’s right, you are much in the Northern hemisphere. Spring blooms will come to Canada soon.

here naman, spring came too early.. and then we had a taste of early summer.. now we’re back to spring temperature ulit.. hay naku, i have to watch the weather change closely, so i could dress up louna properly.

Hi Analyse, The weather also fluctuates so much here during Spring time. One day you wear shorts, the next day you have to wear pants. I’ve learned to check the weather first before dressing up Little K.

I love the colors of spring, though I can only see them in pictures. I have a collection of spring as well as fall (even if I hate orange in an unnatural setting) pictures from New England websites. Ahhh..I just hope I can smell those flowers, even if I am a little allergic to them, hahaha!

Nice photos, Tina! Thanks for sharing them.
    _________
Hi Julie, You are allergic to pollen? Oh boy, there was quite a high pollen count last week. Fall is beautiful and the orange works pretty well with the different shades of browns, maybe you should just come in person to see to change your mind :).

    Thanks and you’re welcome.

    beautiful photos…WOW!

Ang ganda siguro mag photoshoot dyan

    Hi Ate Girlie,
Thanks, coming from a pro- it means alot :) .

Photoshoot here can be quite challenging, if you you mean the bridal stuff. The trees and bushes are near the sidewalks. And you really have to be good friends with the photographer because you can’t just set a certain date, you’ll have to depend on when Mother Nature to decide when to let the blooms out. The blooms can stay beautiful as short as 3 days.

Thanks for shaaring your pics, Tina. Made me forget my spring allergies;)

    ___________
    Hi Mary,
You’re welcome. Allergies- just take some antihistamine trade-off nga lang it makes you drowsy and dangerous to drive but there are non-drowsy versions already.
