In the Line of Fire - II

Thank you for your kind words and prayers everyone.

Just an update on my sister. She and her team was helicoptered off from the area and has been transferred to another location. She was debriefed and advised to take some rest and recreation. As of now, she tells me that she has been having a difficulty sleeping as the events of that day keeps haunting her.

I know she was fully aware of the danger of going into that country but it’s totally different when it’s experienced firsthand. I can only thank our Lord that she has been spared.

I don’t know how this latest experience will influence her decisions for her future, only she can make that. She can be stubborn. I can only give her inputs and pray for her safety.

I just remembered the priest’s sermon the other week…”Let us be thankful to the brave men and women who are we willing to sacrifice their lives to save others”

This is indeed true humility and selflessness.

I hope your sister finds peace and be willing to live in a safer environment.

Tins, tell your ate to pack her things and take the next flight out from there. It’s not worth it!
My brother Asis was in big mess after he was based in Saudi where killings are not uncommon. It took him a long time to recover….
Hope all’s well with your sister, i’ll include her in my prayers.

    Thanks Leah,
I believe she has done enough sacrificing. She was there for more than a year now.

    Mimi,
Sa wakas nag-comment ka rin. I asked Manang to get the hell out of there because they can replace her(they’ll have a difficulty finding doctors) but can’t replace my sister. She is still having nighmares. I can’t physically drag her out only plead with her to get out.

    Ate Glo,
Thanks for the comment. She was surely save by an angel but I would rather make her stop risking her neck.
