First Christmas Pageant and Cookies Overdose

My little K joined her preschool pageant(it’s the re-enactment of the Nativity scene) and she was an angel(like she wanted to be). They sang 5-6 Christmas carols, which impressed us because we didn’t expect 4 and 5 year olds remembering all those songs. They all looked so sweet in their costumes. After the pageant, everyone was invited to partake in a cookie reception. The table was laden with cookies(parents were asked to bring the treats) with all shapes and sizes so we were glad we brought brownies bites from Costco. I could only nibble on a brownie because I could have gotten a sugar overdose just by looking at the spread.
The next day, another cookie party in the dance school. With only five 5 students in the class, it was a quiet one.
With all the cookies going around it’s not hard to imagine how one can gain 5 lbs or more by the end of the Holidays if they’re not careful.
