Lemon Stand
By KK on Oct 10, 2006 in Darnest Things My Kid Says, Mommy Files, Thinker
Out of the blue yesterday, my daughter was making a business proposition.
Baby K: “Can I put up a lemon stand and sell lemonade for a nickel?”
Daddy: “You’ll have to charge more than a nickel because lemons cost 50 cents each and then you have to put sugar.
Mommy: “…and you’ll have to use clean filtered water .”
Daddy: ” You cannot make money if you spend more than what you make.”
Baby K: “Ok, I’ll sell margaritas instead.”
Mommy: “You can charge $5 for those!”

uy, business minded na si Baby. Ako investor, ten percent lang sa profit, hehe.
Bakit ba naisip ni baby kumita? may project ba siya to spend money on?
Sige, baby, bah oks na oks yan…

wow, may investor na!
at 5 she has the concept of money. If she asks us to buy a big toy she sees in the store, we tell her it costs a whole lot of money for something so unnecessary. We tell her it’s better to use her imagination. Projects? She wants to put up a shelter for animals who don’t have owners. (We tell her that costs money too.)
