Dinosaurs and Mommy

Prerequisite: Movie= The Land Before Time
My little one asked me today: “Mommy, you will always be with me, right?”
I said: I hope so, why do you ask?
She said: “I don’t want you to go away, like Little Foot’s mom. She went away and Little Foot was alone.”
She caught me off-guard. I didn’t know what to say. Speechless. I really can’t assure her that, her simple question for reassurance touched that person deep inside of me who lost her own mom. I couldn’t get into that speech: “I’ll always be with you.”
I just really can’t predict what she will ask me next……..
