Brothers, Sisters and Rhymes

April 11, 2006 6:21 pm

As I was putting my toddler to nap this afternoon. She told me she doesn’t want too many brothers or sisters. I asked why, she told me:” if you will have too many children and you will not know what to do. You will give me some broth without any bread. You might not have enough food if there will be so many children.” Then she started singing the nursery rhyme to me…that goes:
“There was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had so many children. She didn’t know what to do. She gave them some broth without and bread. And kissed them all soundly and sent them to bed.”

(I hope you still remember your nursery rhymes.)
